Can raw pumpkin be frozed

Its probably going to be ok but won't be just like fresh when defrosted !... Possibly better results if you roast it or steam it then freeze it first !

Is the pumpkin skin green or are they mature, yellow/orange? If mature, the whole pumpkin will last at room temperature for good 6 months or longer. I sometimes buy a squash or pumpkin and then never get around to cooking it for months. It sits on my kitchen table. But, it has to be mature.

I have frozen cooked pumpkin, but never raw, so can't answer that.
